TruCare Expands Dementia Support Through the GUIDE Program
Through the GUIDE Program, eligible families may have access to additional dementia support and up to 76 hours of in-home respite care per year, based on Medicare’s current annual respite benefit of $2,625.
Support for Your Loved One and for You
Caring for someone with dementia can be demanding. Respite care gives family caregivers an opportunity to rest, attend appointments, run errands, or simply take some much-needed time for themselves while their loved one continues receiving support at home.
GUIDE may also provide eligible families with dementia-trained support, care coordination, caregiver education and coaching, 24/7 access to a care team, and connections to community resources.
Could Your Family Qualify?
GUIDE is available to qualifying individuals with dementia who have Traditional Medicare Parts A and B as their primary insurance, are not currently enrolled in hospice, and meet other program requirements. Individuals living at home or in independent living may qualify.
For the respite benefit, the individual generally must have moderate to severe dementia and have a family member or unpaid caregiver involved in their care.
